Deliciously Ella started in 2012 after Ella was diagnosed with the rare illness, Postural Tachycardia Syndrome. Bed-bound, she began exploring ways to manage her symptoms through lifestyle and dietary changes; taking up a natural, plant based approach to food. Ella began experimenting with recipes, looking for ways to make eating well more delicious, and sharing the results of the experiments online, which lead to the creation of the Deliciously Ella brand.
Deliciously Ella is all about celebrating what you can create with delicious plant based ingredients. Recent research has shown that only 27% of people get their 5-a-day in the UK; Ella’s mission is to help change this by providing creative ways of integrating fruit and veg into your diet. Natural, Simple and Honest are the three core values that drive Ella in all her endeavours. As a brand, Deliciously Ella is now the most widely read healthy food and lifestyle blog in the UK, having received over 100 million hits and being awarded the Observer Food Monthly Best Food Blog award in 2015.
All three of Ella’s cookbooks have become best-sellers and she has since moved into retail and food products with her husband, Matthew Mills. Both Ella and Matthew are winners of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards UK 2017, being recognised as a ‘Rising Star’ brand. With three locations in London, Deliciously Ella deli’s bring Ella’s food to life and celebrates delicious, natural dishes created from simple ingredients.
